What is the NEW Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System?

NEW Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System provides hassle free continuous protection against both flying and crawling insects. Its new 'advanced timer feature' allows for 2 time settings (either a 12hr or a 24hr-cycle) for different insect infestations and control.

How does the NEW Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System work and how does it differ from other sprays?

NEW Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System includes a unique automatic dispenser that uses Advanced Micromist Technology™ which creates a mist of fine micro particles to control insects. Because it’s a mist which stays in the air longer, not a spray, it’s more easily spread throughout your whole room. Ordinary insect sprays however, release heavier particles that fall to the ground more quickly, making them less effective at whole room coverage than the New Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System.

  • NEW Raid Automatic Advanced offers continuous protection in the home, with a new product features - its 2-time settings & Low battery warning light.
  • The 12-hour option allows the unit to cycle on for 12 hours and off for 12 hours. It automatically starts at the same time each day when the switch is left in this position. This setting is most effective when insects are less prevalent during the winter months. The 185g refill will last up to 8 weeks when used under the 12-hour setting. The 305g refill will last up to 15 weeks when used under the 12-hour setting.
  • The 24-hour setting is for a continuous 24 hour operation. This setting is most effective when insects are more prevalent during summer months. The 185g refill will last up to 4 weeks when used under the 24-hour setting. The 305g refill will last up to 7.5 weeks when used under the 24-hour setting.
  • Low battery warning light: Red light on top of dispenser starts to flash indicating its time to replace the battery.

Is it effective?

Because it’s a mist which stays in the air longer, not a spray, it’s more easily spread throughout your whole room for better coverage. All formulas are effective against both flying and crawling insects (flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, and ants).

What types of insects does the New Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System control?

New Raid® Automatic Insect Control System is effective against flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, and ants.

How long does it take to work?

Within days you will notice a significant improvement in the elimination of insects in the home. Some insects may take longer to control depending upon particular environment conditions.

How long does a refill can last?

Each refill can life span depends upon the dispenser setting used.

Pyrethroids are synthetic insecticides based on Pyrethrins.

I have been using the Raid® Automatic System for a while but I am still noticing insects. What can I do to prevent this?

The Raid® Automatic is designed to create a zone you can enjoy without the constant nuisance or worry caused by insects; however if you are still finding insects in the house with the Raid® Automatic System fully running, then check the following:
  • Is the product switched on? (12 or 24 hour setting)
  • Is the can empty?
  • Is the battery new? (flat batteries will affect performance)
  • Is it releasing a puff of spray every 7 minutes? (if not the battery may not be functioning properly)
  • Is it left on for 12 or 24 hours a day? (it is only effective if it is in constant use)
  • Have you positioned the unit in a room with open doors or windows? (if so it may be too close to an opening and the active ingredient may be escaping outside before it is dispersed throughout the room)

Is the product safe to use around fish tanks?

You will need to remove fish tanks from the area as the active ingredients may be harmful to fish and aquatic life.

Do we need to change our pet's water if we are using the Raid® Automatic Outdoor System?

The outdoor unit is usually operated at ground level and releases a mist upwards into the air. As long as the unit is kept away from pet's water bowl, you will not need to change the water as minimal product will actually land on the ground as a very fine mist will be released upward into the air and travel with the air flow or simply dissipate.

Does the spray leave residue or damage timber furniture or floors?

We recommend that the unit is wall mounted rather than left on any timber surface.

How do I know that my dispenser is working?

Once you install your battery and refill, the dispenser will activate 10 seconds after switching the on position.

Where is the best spot to place the unit for optimum results?

The best place to set up your Raid® Automatic Advanced Insect Control System for optimum results is in a central room, usually the family room or where people congregate most often.

Is it possible to use the indoor unit on a sheltered outdoor porch?

If the area is fully enclosed, then the unit will work effectively. However if the area is open, then the air circulation will affect the indoor unit’s effectiveness. It is recommended for open areas that you use the outdoor unit, which disperses the mist every 20 seconds, ideal for outdoor weather conditions.

Does New Raid® Automatic Advanced System contains screws for wall mounting?

No, screws are not included. This is because different surfaces require different types of screws which need’s to be assessed by the installer of the unit.
